Artist Statement:
I work conceptually across text, drawing, sound and lens-based media. Wide as this practice may be in material, it is grounded in a performative use of my body pushing past limits. The limits imposed by culture, myth and symbolism are endlessly interesting to me. I use my hybrid body (colonizer and colonized, white and brown, Western and Eastern) to straddle and confound the boundaries of these limits.
