Artist Statement:
I work conceptually across drawing, painting, photography and video. As wide as this practice may be in material, it is grounded in a performative use of my body pushing past a limit.
My artworks honour unstable bodies: bodies in flux, shaped by shifting identities and positions, not easily pinned down into a category. Culture, myths and language brutalize these bodies, and yet they persist. And yet I persist.
My work is about bodies that suffer brutality, and yet are defiantly, powerfully alive.
